As you now know I don’t wear much color. But when I am in the mood, which it’s Spring so I am, I like one or two touches of saturated color in the mix to make things feel a little fresher.
I usually keep it to accessories, it’s easier to integrate that way without going full on. Here are three ways I am wearing these Spring tones right now.
Mini Bags
I am into soft textures in spring shades of green, yellow, and blue. I like colored bags in mini sizes, less overpowering against neutrals. This is such an easy grab-and-go way to add color.
Pastel Ballet Flats
Ever since the Alaia ballet flats came out so many great styles have hit the market. I got this perfect shade of green satin style from Larroude (Marina is a fellow past editor and is truly the hardest working and friendliest person in fashion!) I love the studded option from Aeyede (little bit more structure than what Alaia and Khaite did). Ballet flats are a great way to feminize your look without having to go too girly.
Sunny Minimal Sandals
From a buttery soft tone to a bright sunflower this color has so much styling power. I love it with all black, tan and white, navy would be nice here, red would be amazing. It is one of the few colors I really lean into, and it works so well with all my neutrals.
See you next week for more on sandals!

Sunny sandals is such a lovely way of putting it. I live in the yellow Proenza x Birkenstocks from many seasons past…every summer they are like a bit of sunshine and such an easy way to feel colourful while in black and white!
Thank you for sharing color ideas for those of us that don’t “do” color but still love it.
