Weekends aren’t made for thinking about what you are wearing. Whether it’s having go-to formulas, specific pieces you lean or a combo of both, having a few go-tos to turn to makes getting dressed on a Saturday an after thought but won’t look like it.
The outfits below are made up of heavy-hitting pieces from my closet. Nothing is new and they work very hard for me on the weekend (and weekdays sometimes too). Aside from practicality, I usually incorporate a bit of a sport feel (comfortable fabrics, jackets, easy sandals), and at least one fashion element—a nice knit, exaggerated pant, or a mini bag. Instead of defaulting to throwing on something like jeans and figuring out how to dress them up, I like taking pieces I normally wear to work and find ways to dress them down.

Cropped Cardigan + Wide-Leg Pants
I might wear these pants too much—I have them in black, too. Because of the paper bag waist, I wear them with a white T-shirt or tank tucked in and short cardigan that hits above the waist. I love a short crossbody that’s compact for my wallet, phone, keys, and lip balm.
